This delightful Grade II listed, former sea captain’s house dating back to the early 18th Century was largely unaltered and full of original details and period features illustrating the rich history of the property.
Our client had lived in the property for a number of years however the scale of the building was making upkeep and repairs difficult. In response to his desire to find a sustainable solution that would allow the high quality maintenance of the property, we were asked to prepare a sensitive scheme to divide the property into three apartments.
We relished the opportunity to work on a property of this quality and after detailed surveys of the spaces and original features we produced a scheme that celebrated and highlighted the fantastic qualities of the property whilst creating series of generous apartments.
